1. Establish a Theme & Prep
Plan ahead and let your graphics shine! Once you figure out what you're promoting make sure your graphics are simple with a clear message. Create a theme that can be used throughout - pre/during/post events that will be used on all marketing material.
2. Promote
Promoting your company's participation several months before the actual date of the event. Make the announcement with your theme based flyers, posters, banners, and advertisements. Always make sure to send out messages asking to connect leading up to, during, and after the event on social media platforms. This helps generate the buzz about your participation and raise awareness of your brand. Follow up with creative ways to let everyone know their invited in advance. Tell them you want to connect by:
- Sending direct mail invites via email
- Generating the buzz on social media sites
- Create your own hash tags for events
- Create a blog post, press release, and newsletter announcement
- Make sure to send your message to:
- The Show organizer
- Previous Show leads
- Your database
- Best sales prospects
3. At the Show
Attract potential customers by inviting them to connect by enticing them with a usable chatzky. You've already generated the buzz about your event so let the crowds flock to you! The best way to do this is to get social and connect with potential clients letting them know that they have a incentive to come see you. Great giveaways include something that has value to your customers:
- Logo based USB chargers
- Logo Water bottles
- Logo T- Shirts
4. Send Thanks and Follow-up!
Saying thank you is small gesture that goes a long way. When sending thank yous, make sure you tell people to keep connecting with your company, the industry, and the community built through the event. Follow up with connections you made and keep the momentum going!
