The activity began in early June with
Kansas City Fire Department crews training at the former Victory Court
Apartments. Demolition crews stepped in on June 18th to begin tearing down the 37-unit
apartment complex to clear the way for the new office building.
"We were delighted to have the
opportunity to make our property available to the Kansas City Fire Department
for training," said Stephen Block, principal of Block Real Estate
Services.
Kenneth G. Block, managing principal of
Block Real Estate Services agreed saying "It was great to help the Kansas
City Fire Department perform training exercises at the site. Now, with the
demolition of the Victory Court Apartments, we turn our attention to the
development of our world-class office building to be known as 46 Penn Centre."
46 Penn Centre will be a truly spectacular
high-rise office development in the middle of the Country Club Plaza. The
building will feature Class A office space, restaurant and retail space, secure
covered parking, and balconies on each floor. The office building is
anticipated to be completed in Q4 2017.
